BIOGRAPHY

Didier Recloux was born in the french speaking part of Belgium to a Polish mother and a Belgian father. Showing an affinity for music early in his life, he was introduced to the art by his grandmother who came from a long lineage of musicians.

Classically trained in guitar, he went on to learn drums, took singing lessons and taught himself  keyboard. He performed and sang at gigs with fellow students whilst studying at the music academy, and even busked in the Brussels metro.

His first works of composition were scores for short films and documentaries by young film makers, an opening theme for a film festival and tracks for several websites. In the following years he obtained a diploma from the Los Angeles Film Music Institute writing music to pictures, and a certificate in music technology from IMW, London.

He has worked with Gordan Halaykievic  (‘She loves me, She loves me not’, Carphone Warehouse, BMI, etc... ) on many commercials and has recorded with the renowned cellist Andrea Hess. In October 2009 Didier also attended a masterclass in orchestration with Steven Scott Smalley (Ali, For The Love Of The Game ), in New York.

His influences range from early soundtracks and classical music to progressive rock. You can listen to samples of his music by clicking here.
